BREAKFAST TIME HAS ITS QUEER HABITS
Most people are not wakened 1 alarm clocks; their average time rising is 7.40 a.m., and over half ; hour passes before they sit down their first meal, says the “Net Chronicle.” These facts are based on an inyejßl go lion which has just been made in the breakfast-time habits of adults and children. The inquiries were conducted. 1 Mass Observation, which promised t result of an analysis into smokii habits and the contents of 800 mant( pieces.
It asked for a detailed account from over a thousand observers of what happens between 10.30 and 11.30 a.m. The instructions were: “Describe4l morning in detail from the end; breakfast to the end of lunch. “Include details of your workii routine, if you are at work; of hbus hold routine, if you are at home; ■ of shopping, if you go out to the shops In the case of any “national emer ency,” all observers have a standii request to make a detailed account what .happens to them and the r actions of those around them.
