Swimmer Caught By Breaker

Swimming at Lang’s Beach, where he is holidaying with his family, Mr A. J. Murdoch was caught by an unusually heavy breaker and dashed against the beach.

Although badly knocked about he managed to make his own way out of the water. The accident occurred at noon on New Year’s Day and Mr Murdoch was unable to follow his usual practice of attending the Caledonian sports and concert at Waipu. However, although still bearing a number of abrasions about the head and face, Mr Murdoch is completely recovered, and yesterday visited Leigh and Pakiri.
