f Special To. “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day. Mr G. H. Mackley. who was awarded the C.M.G. in the New Year Honours, was at one time stationmaster at Kaikohc, and later at Onerahi. He won steady promotion until, in 1925, he became chief clerk in the head office at Wellington. In December, 1931, he was appointed assistant-general manager, and 18 months later, succeeded to the generalmanagership.
