A successful pairs tourney was held on the Whangarei Bowling Club’s greens yesterday under Ideal weather conditions.
The winners were Lamb and Runibal. , Results:— SECTION 1. Round I.—T. Walder and McMath 12, J. T. Evans and A. E. Simmons 9; H. Wilson and T. H. Stewart 16, A. Beaton and M. Whitelaw 12; Nesbit and Boag 13, Dennis and Cowper 11; Doel and Good 12, McKinnon and Cutforth 8. Round 2 Boag 16. Simmons 4; Whitelaw 13. Good 12; McMath 19, Cowper 7; Cutforth 8, Stewart 5. Round 3. —Good 17, Boag 7; Whitelaw 13, Simmons 8; Stewart 24, Me* Math 18; Cowper 13, Cutforth 5. Round 4.—Good 13, McMath 9; Boag 13, Stewart 12; Simmons 16, Cutforth 15; Cowper 18, Whitelaw 12.
