rviflTH 527 Australian tourists on board, the Aberdeen and Commonwealth liner Jervis Bay arrived in Auckland this morning. The tour began at Sydney on Christmas Eve and will end there early in the New Year, The Jervis Bay is a full’ship and leaves Auckland early tomorrow for the Bay of Islands and Sydney. Some of the tourists* went on a one day trip to Rotorua today.—(PA.).
QWING to the derailment of a tender near Kopuraroa, early last evening, the ordinary express arrived at Auckland this morning one hour and 45 minutes I'ate from Wellington. Twelve‘of the carriages on the express were filled with encursionists, '—(Press Assn.)
T>Y the explosion of an oil stove in ■ a' tent at Pounawea on Saturday, Mrs Evans, of Southland, was burned so severely that she died in the Owaka Hospital Yesterday. She leaves four young children. —(P.A.).
