RUMANIAN GOVERNMENT RESIGNS

The Rumanian Government has resigned. M. Tatarescu, Prime Minister, saw King Carol yesterday, and handed him his resignation, on the ground that the election results show that the Government will have no majority in the new Chamber.
A Warsaw message says tine Rumanian Government, whose submarine contracts hitherto have been placed in Britain, has ordered four submarines from Gydniax shipyards,. Poland is also constructing seapanes and aeroplanes for Rumania.
Fire Damage At Hastings

HASTINGS, This Day.
A small sawmill at Hastings, owned by Gordon Walker Ltd., was. destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon. A second fire, two hours later, de-
stroyed a seed and * grain storeroom ■ occupied by Simmonds and Co., Ltd.,
in the main street
A fair amount of machinery and several lorries were lost in the sawmill fire, but the brigade was able to save the large adjoining building of Watties" Canneries. Ltd. Insurances are not ascertainable. The storeroom fire resulted in a loss of about £SOO, which was covered by insurance. The contents destroyed included a light lorry.
