Mr C. F. A. Kruger

A well-known resident of Whangarei, Mr Charles Frederick Albert Kruger, pasesd away yesterday at the age of 60, after an illness of some months’ duration. Mr Kruger was born in Amsterdam, Holland, and came to New Zealand about 35 years ago, settling at Auckland, and continuing his seafaring career. While in Auckland-, he married, later moving to Ruakaka, where he and his wife had a farm for about ten years. Mr Kruger had at various times been employed by the Public Works Department and the Whangarei 'Borough Council. Particularly among .those interested in boating he had a large circle of friends, and was very popular not only among his workmates, but with all those with whom he came in contact.

He is survived by his wife, one son (Mr C. Kruger, of Whangarei), and two daughters, Mrs G. Snell, of Whangarei, and Miss Joyce Kruger, also of Whangarei. A second son, Peter, died about six years ago, at the age of 19.
