Honours For Northlanders

AUCKLAND, This Day. The Governor-General, Viscount Galway, held an investiture at Government House last night, at which His Excellency conferred the honour of Knighthood upon Sir Algernon Thomas, emeritus professor, Auckland University College, and invested him with the insignia of a Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael ami St. George. Among a number of other decorations and orders conferred, (he Efficiency Decoration was prc-. seated to Major S. It, Dunn, of Whangarei, and to Major F. G. Dill, Kaipara Flats, and the M.E.E. to Miss E. D. W. Leslie.
