Thomson, Bagley and Co., Ltd., supplied the following market report:— Fruit. —Apples maintain high values. Poormans have advanced in prices, whilst lemons are unchanged. Quotations. —Sturmers: 11/6 to 12/6 per case; Granny Smith; 11/6 to 12/6 per case; Poormans; 7/6 to 9/- per case; Dunns: 7/6 to 8/6 case; Jonathans: 9/6 to 12/6 case; lemons: 4/6 to 7/6 case. Vegetables: All greens arc in poor supply, and a g'ood demand exists. There is a glut of cabbages. Quotations —Peas: 3d per lb; cabbages: 2/6 to 4/ sack; lettuce: 1/6 to 2/6 dozen; carrots: 7/6 per sugar bag; potatoes: 9/ sugar bag; beans: 7d per lb; cauliflowers: 3/ to 4/ sack; tomatoes; 8d to 10 per lb; parsnips: 7/6 sugar onions; 19/ cental bag.
Poultry.—A good yarding met with an increased demand. Quotations: Heavy-breed cockerels: 3/6 to 4/6; medium-breed cockerels: 3/ to 4T light breed cockerels: 2/6 to 3/6: heavybreed hens: 3/6 to 4/6; medium-breed hens: 3/ to 4/: light-breed hens: 2/6 to 3/6; ducks: 1/3 to 2/6; geese, 3/6 to 6/6; turkey hens: 6/ to 9/6; turkey gobblers; 7/6 to 15/-.
