Whangarei’s Good Accident Record

According: to figures released by the Transport Department, Whangarei borough has been comparatively free from serious traffic accidents in recent months. Between March and November, there were seven traffic mishaps involving personal injuries. Pedestrians figured in five of the accidents-, a particularly high percentage of the total casualties. One pedestrian was seriously injured.

Serious injuries also resulted from a collision between a motorcar and a motor-cycle. The figures given above do not include collisions in which the persons concerned escaped unhurt.
