BIRTHDAY PARTY AT TANGITERORIA
An enjoyable evening was spent in the Settlers' Hall, Tangitercria, on Wednesday when the Women’s Institute celebrated its sixth birthday. The music for dancing was supplied by Miss A. Tuhiwai, Miss A. Tito, Mr McKay and Mr Duncan. Mr F. C. Clarke was M.C.
Novelty dances were a feature of the evening, the winners being as follows:—Monte Carlo. Miss L. Murdoch and Mr J. Armstrong; spot waltz, Mi’s Mcßeath and Mr P. Hemphill. A cake, made by Mrs L. Murdoch and iced by Mrs C. Clarke, was won by Miss H. Beatty.

Bourke, linen costume; M. Jack, floral pique; Lesley Murdoch, blue linen; A. Clarke, black lace and silver lame; A, Murdoch, blue silk linen; Barbara Clotworlhy, red floral linen; H. Beatty, blue floral spun silk; Mclva Mclntosh, floral crepe-de-chine; Nancy Beatty, striped silk; Jean Tucker, white silk; T. Cosgravo, gold cloque; Doreen Taylor, floral crepe; Ivy Palmer, while silk.
