Power Carnival At Wellsford
t Special To “Northern Advocate ”] WELLSFORD, This Day. A successful carnival, was conducted by the Wellsford Business People’s Association, 'in order to celebi’ate the extension of the electric power lines to Wellsford by the Waitemata Electric Power Board.
Large numbers of visitors came from the surrounding country for various competitions which were held in all the and business people were in fancy dress. The tennis club organised and held a dance on Wednesday evening, and there was a very good attendance.
The children were also catered for, and a free picture matinee was provided for them. A sports meeting was held at the show ground, over 300 children and 150 adults being present.
