HORA HORA BOY SCOUT GROUP BIRTHDAY

The fourth birthday of the Hora Hora Boy Scouts Group was celebrated in the Presbyterian Hall on Sat-

urday night

Over 50 Scouts and Cubs sat down to laden tables, surmounted by a birthday cake made and presented by Mrs G. Seed.

Under the direction of the groups

officers, District Cubmaster. Mrs A. Sharman, and Scoutmaster, Mr G. W. Sharman, the boys entertained parents and friends, from B o'clock to 10, with displays of Cub and Scout work, songs and recitations. There was an attendance of about 120. Besides items of a scouting nature, contributions were given by Nancy Beehre and Margaret Pritchard, piano duet; Nancy Beehre and Scout Charlie Beehre. piano solos; Cubs Ron. Plaistcd. Tui Beehre, Ray Mudgway and P. Nicholas, recitations. Jean, Wilson and Moira Povey assisted the Cubs in songs and choruses, and in a well-acted playlet, “The Enchgmtor.” Mouth-organ items were given by Scout Vic. Doidge and Cub Allan Findlay. Mrs M. Wilson was accompanist.

A competition was won by Mrs Dunn 'and Mrs Wilson.
