Trinity Church Dutch Fair

This year the annual sale of work in aid of the funds of Trinity Congregational Church, Whangarei, took the form of a Dutch Fair. The hall was prettily decorated with Dutch figures and the workers were attired in Dutch costumes.

In the presence of a large gathering, the fair was declared open by the Mayor and Mayoress, Mr and Mrs W. Jones. Good business was done at all the stalls. In the evening, an enjoyable programme was presented. Stall holders were as follows; President, Mrs C. Canncll Hoskin; gifts, Mesdames Fry and McLennan; cakes, Mesdames Cheesman, Curtis and Barry; sweets, Misses Hill, Bonner and Fry; produce, Mr and Mrs Flower; afternoon tea, Mesdames Rush, Pawson, Woodbridge, Dreardon, Hall and Bellamy; sideshows, Messrs Fry, Brooks, Taylor, Rush and Brown.
