LIGHT RUGBY AGENDA LOCALLY

mmimrs sport

With the North Auckland Rugby representatives doing battle with Thames Valley at Maungaturoto, and a Whangarei side in action against Rodney at Port Albert tomorrow, there is little of interest in the programme being presented by the Whangarei Rugby Union. It comprises only two third-grade games and one fourth-grade match. Chief interest will centre in the appearance of the Northcote thirdgraders against a combined Hora Hora and Old Boys junior team, and also in the match between the Northcote fourth-graders and a combined third-grade team fx'om the Hora Hora and Old Boys clubs. The local juniors will bo selected from: Potter (OB), Smith (OB), Reed (HH). Turner (OB). Corban (HH). Amos (HID, Beeston (HH). Wilton (HH). J. and L. James (OB). Penny (HH), N. Boyd (HH), Provan (HH), K. Eourke (OB), Lilley (OB). Fidler (HH), Haigh (OB), Symes (OB), Griffon (OB), Stockwell (OB), Humphries (HH), Redwood (HH). The combined third-grade team will be: Lane, Pattison, Simpson, Brown, Parkes, Booth, Cowan, Alderton, Hughes, Fairley, Calder, Morpeth, Stewart, McKay, Webb, Steedman, Laurenson (two to be omitted).
