[Special to “Northern Advocate ”] AUCKLAND, This Day. The Waipa Racing Club’s winter meeting is taking place at Te Awamutu today in cold and' showery weather. There, is a large attendance, and the course is in ; fair order. Results: — Hack and Hunters’ Steeplechase, of 150 sovs; about two and a half miles. — (7-6) London, 9.1, 1; (1-1) Chang, 9.11, 2; (3-3) Kinkle, 10.1, 3. Scratched Lucidus, Hot Dance, Dark Princess. Tour lengths; neck. Time, 5.22 2-5. Trial Handicap of 100 sovs; six fur-longs.—(9-7) Te Monowai, 8.4, 1; (10-9) Mai de Mer, 8.4, 2; (8-11) Tui Nui, 8.4, 3. Hill Billy and Maori Song were scratched.. Four lengths; half a length. Time—l.2o. W. G. Park Steeplechase, of 350 sovs; ind trophy valued at 20sovs; about two miles and a half.—(2-3) Windsor Lad, 10.11, 1; (4-4) Tudor, 12.4, 2; (3-2) Don Erma, 9.12, 3. Sporting Song, Dark Princess and Golden England were ’ scratched. Three-quarters of a length; six lengths.
