[Special to “Northern AcLvocate”i TOKOMARU BAY, This Day.
A phenomenal fall of rain, totalling over 6in., occurred between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. yesterday. Swollen rivers overflowed and many back roads became blocked, isolatng settlers. Service cars got through on the main road after an hour’s delay.
