A conference of all interested in the pig industry will be held in Whangarei oh Wednesday of next week! It has been convened by the North Auckland branch of the New Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association, and an address will by given by Mr M. J. Scott, Superintendent of the Pig Industry, who will explain grading and the allocation of the 2d levy on all pigs.

Under the Government’s scheme seven district councils are to be established throughout the Dominion to administer the fund raised by the levy, and one of the important questions discussed at Wednesday’s conference will be the setting up of a Northland council.

Dairy companies have been invited to send delegates, and the conference will be open to all those interested in pig production.
