Dargaville’s Taxi Stands

t Special to “Northern Advocate ” 3 DARGAVILLE, This Day. The Dargaville Borough Council, on Monday evening, considered a report of the borough traffic inspector, Mr G. M. Kleins, suggesting the removal of the taxi stand from a site on the Hokianga Road to the vicinity of the Railway station. Mr Kleips also proposed that the parking area in Lower Victoria Street should be shifted to Edward Street and that service cars should be from Victoria Street. The council decided to hold a conference with taxi-drivers and service car proprietors on July 7.
