Will Mrs Freer Be Compensated?

(Received 10 a.m.) CANBERRA, June 18. Speaking on the Address-in-Reply in the House of Representatives today, the new Labour member for Gwydir, Mr W. J. Scully, severely criticised the Government for its ‘somersault’ in regard to the exclusion and then the admission of Mrs Freer. Mr Scully asked whether, in all the circumstances, the Government intended to compensate Mrs Freer for the “blunder” of the Minister of the Interior, Mr T. Paterson. There was no reply to the question.
