(Received 11 a.m.) BERLIN, June 11. In the opening singles of the European zone semifinal of the Davis Cup, Germany was victorious over Belgium in both rubbers. Results:— H. Henkel beat A. Lacroix, 6 —l, 6—l, 6—l.

G. von Cramm beat C. Naeyaert, 6—3, 6—o, 6—4. The other semi-finalists are Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia, who had beaten South Africa and France respectively.
