Commercial Traveller’s Crash In Manawatu Gorge

An inquest was held on Saturday on the death of Mr Victor Arthur Johnson, 'of Wellington, the commercial traveller whose car plunged into the, Manawatu Gorge on May 17. A verdict was returned that deceased died as" a result of a broken neck, ' suffered when his car plunged into the riyer. In the opinion of Dr. Mules, of T Woodville, Mr Johnson’s neck was broken before the car struck the river .isb" feet, below. ' Deceased is survived by his wife arid a daughter aged 11. -
