More Eggs Come Forward; Prices Reduced

The Auckland Egg Marketing Committee reports that first-grade hen eggs have been coming forward a little more, plentifully, and a reduction of 2d a dozen has resulted. Second-grade are one*penny cheaper, while others are unchanged. It is not expected that supplies will warrant a further drop for some time. *• Wholesale prices are:— Hen, first-grade, 2/6J a dozen; B gr*de. 2/2J; C, 1/7*.
Duck, first-grade, 2/3£ a dozen; B, r/iu; c, \m. Country storekeepers’ buying prices for first-grade eggs are: Hen, 2/ a dozen; duck, l/9£.
