Details Of Empire’s Homage Programme
(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, May U The BBC- has issued the final details of the Empire’s homage- programme for Coronation Day. ' It will open with a recorded extract from the Coronation service. There will follow a recorded “flash” 'of, the Royal procession. After that, a septuagenarian resident of London, who remembers the Coronation, of King George V and King Edward VII and Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee will be the first representative citizen to offer homage. Other Britons include an Aberdeen woman, who will greet Queen Elizabeth from her native Scotland. • The homage of the Empire Prime Ministers will be interspersed with representatives of their dominions, including a jacakaroo speaking from Sydney and a New Zealand sailor and a Maori statesman using his native tongue from Wellington. As London calls each Dominion, specially composed trumpet fanfares will be played. Rehearsals will begin on May 3,
