Big Men Come Out In Open On Side Of Compensated Price

[Special To “Northern Advocate.’*] HAMILTON, This Day. *

Over 90 farmers heard an explanation of the compensated price at Te Kowh'ai last evening, when the meeting was addressed by Mr R. H. McKenzie, chairman, of the New Zealand Co-op. Dairy Co., and Mr C. J. Parlane, general manager. The occasion was the first in which officials of the big company have been openly associated with the campaign, which they describe as “absolutely nonpolitical.’’

A resolution was passed unanimously urging the Government to pay a price for the dairy produce which would enable the farmer to pay competitive wages, give him interest on his capital, meet his increased cost of . production and give him a standard of living commensurate with that of other sections who render equal service.
