Jap. Diet Dissolved By Imperial Ordinance
(Received 3.30 p.m.) TOKIO, March 31. An Imperial Ordinance was issued today dissolving the Diet. A general election will be held ,on April 30. ' ' , # • ' ■''' ' A Cabinet communication explains that the dissolution is due to the present, Parliament lacking sincerity and having obstructed • many measures vital to the defence and preservation of the people’s livelihood. It has failed to appreciate the critical nature of the situation. Dissolution is necessary to awaken the nation’s conscience.
