Police Want Follower Of Father Devine

John Hunt, a wealthy white follower, of “Father Divine,” the so-called “St. John the Divine,” is sought by police under the Mann Act, on a charge of transporting a 17-year-old girl, Delight Jewitt, a Denver school girl, to make her the new “Virgin Mary.” Protests by Lipnel Barrymore and other screen celebrities caused police recently to disperse 200 'followers of Hunt, who used his home here under the name of the “New Bethlehem.”
