Later, the committee investigated a number of possible sites and several settlers were approached in reference to the purchase of a site. Just prior to Christmas, a further general meeting was held, when it was decided by a majority of almost two to one, to secure a portion of Mr Brown’s paddock in preference to a site at the back of the hall. These were the only two sites available.
Some valuable offers of material and. numerous donations have given the club a healthy start, and voluntary workers have made an appreciable start on the levelling of the Section, J
The club has secured a loiyg lease with the right of purchase, j 'and has taken the long view by providing for three courts. Plenty of enthusiasm is evident and the club showld be a real asset to the district. /
