Mr Alder Fisher
The' death has occurred in the New Zealand Institute for the Blind, Auckland, of Mr Alder at the age of 96 years. *Mr Fisher was born in London in 1841, and,went to sea at the age of 14 ye&rs. v His father, a London medical practitioner, arrived with the first : Alberti land settlers, and farmed first* at Pot Albert and later at Matakohe. Th late Mr. Fisher spent many years farm ing, and eventually came to live i. Auckland. Mr Fisher climbed Rahgitoto on hi 95th birthday, haying climbed to th top 40 years previously. Mr Fishe was a bachelor.
