Taylor, of Tangowahine, are staying with Mrs J. Powell. Miss Bushell, of Mt. Roskill, and Mr R.s Williams and Mr T. Williams, of Auckland, were the guests of Mrs W. E. Miss Alice Boyd and Miss Spring! have returned to Auckland after I spending a short holiday in Portland as the guests of Mrs F. Boyd. Mr and Mrs W. Purchase are spending a fortnight’s holiday in Taumarunui. -

On Monday night, the seventh an- j nual meeting of the Portland Rugby j League Club was held in the Canteen | Reading Room, and was well attended 1 by players and supporters. The bal- j ance sheet disclosed a small credit balance.
