Head-On Collision Near Kawakawa
ISpecial To “Northern Advocate”] KAWAKAWA, This Day.
A head-on collision between two high-powered cars occurred on the Oromahoe fload, near Piriaka. One car was driven by Mr W.' T. Buckley, of Devonport, and contained his mother, Mrs Buckley, Mr and Mrs Alex Rogers, and Miss Gee, a school teacher, and Master P. Webb, of Auckland. All the occupants were cut by flying glass and had to receive attention at the Kawakawa Hospital. The other car was driven by Mr A. C. Crocombe, of Birkenhead, and he had as passengers Messrs S. Litherland, R. W. Russell and V. Eady, all of Auckland. Mr Eady only received slight head‘injuries.
The‘ cars were railed to Auckland for repairs.
