Parakao
The house warming tendered by Mr and Mrs L. McNabb at Parakao last Thursday night was so well attended that it was decided to hold the function in the hall. Mr McNabb is headmaster of the Parakao school, and as he and his wife have now settled down in their beautiful new residence it was considered that the occasion warranted the time-honoured entertainment. As the floor was in good order and the music excellent, dancing was enthusiastically indulged in. A delicious home-made supper was served by Mrs McNabb and numerous willing helpers. During the supper interval, Mr A. Pollock, on behalf of those present, eulogised Mr McNabb’s work at the school and thanked the host and hostess for their entertainment. Mr A. Pollock capably carried out * the duties of M.C.
