The annual meeting of the Tuapeka County Jockey Club was held on Saturday in fine weather.: The totalisator handled £3,627 10/-, „against £2,825 10/- last year, an increase *of £BO2, Results: —

Trial Handicap, of 60 sovs; fiye furlongs.—(3) Pink Robe, 8.6, 1; (2) Phalaster, 8.0, 2; (4) Azavedo, 9.0, 3. Golden Pheasant and Western Song were scratched. Two lengths each way. Time—l.B 2-5.

Lawrence Handicap, of 75 sovs; six furlongs.—(3) Rin Tin Tin, 9.0, 1; (2) Royal Gallant, 8.4, 2; (1) Moneygran, 8.3, 3. Only starters. Two lengths, each way. Time—l. 22 2-5. President’s Trot, of 70 sovs; saddle; one mile and a half.—(4) Labour Chimes, scr, 1; (2) Ghandi, scr, 2; (1) Jesse Owens, scr, 3. Shining Sun and Master Garry . were scratched. Fifteen lengths; six lengths. Time —3.43 1-5.
