Woman, Struck By Taxi, Succumbs
[Per Press Association.— Copyright.! DUNEDIN, This Day. Struck by a motor car as she was crossing Filleul Street last night, Mrs. Margaret Ford, aged 80, was admitted to hospital suffering from an injury to the head, and died shortly afterward. I A taxi, driven by Mr. Alexander Ellis, came down York Place and turned into Filleul Street, travelling j in a northerly direction. As the car! rounded the corner, Mrs. Ford, who J was about 14 feet from the pavement, j was struck on the head by "the handle I of one of the doors.
