N.Z. Victories At Royal Sydney Show
(Received 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Horses were judged at the Royal Show yesterday, the entries numbering 3000. or 700 more than last year, ! but there were only three entrants in | the stallion thoroughbred section, the j winner of which was the former New | Zealand horse, Deputy Ruler, The j others were the minor racing - per- ! former, Dignus, which was second, and j the veteran, Valamita, third. Competition in the Clydesdale classes was very keen, New Zealand breeds predominating as in previous years. ■ The award for stallion, three | years or over, went to Mr. T. Robson’s I Superb, imported from New Zealand, i which was successful in other sections, j Cattle sales at the show opened auspiciously, and bidding was spirited. The highest price for shorthorns was 305 gns.
