Sensational Rise of 3d for Crossbreds [Per Press Association. Copyright .] ; DUNEDIN, Tuesday. Peak prices for the Dominion season ■ were reached during the auctioning of [ the first two catalogues, representing . a third of the offering at the third wool sale of 30,700 bales yesterday. It is estimated that the average I price per !b. today was 17 d, making > a mean price a bale of approxii matedly £24. This should result in a gross return to Otago woolgrowers of about £750,000, bringing the total proceeds from the three auctions held this season to a sum in excess of £2,000,000.
