Mayoress of Dargaville Passes

[Per Press Association. Copyright .] DARGAVILLE, This Day. The death occurred at her residence at Mangawhare last evening, of Mrs Sarah Jones, Mayoress of Dargaville, at the age of 72 years. She had been Mayoress for 12 years and was a prominent worker for the Roman Catholic Church, the St. John Ambulance, the Plunket Society, the Women’s Institute and similar organisations. She was born at the Waikato, coming to this district 37 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Mr F. A. Jones, two sons, Messrs W. E. Jones (Frankton Junction), and K. F. Jones (Gisborne), and ohe daughter. Mrs C. C. Turner (Whangarei).
