Harbour Board Income And Expenditure

The matter of receiving the statement of estimated income and expenditure for the year ending March 31, 1938, and a decision as to whether or not to collect a rate for the year under review, were held over by the Whangarei Harbour Board today for discussion at the next meeting. The chairman, Mr. J. A. Finlayson, said that the matter was not urgent, and he thought it would be better to discuss it in committee until after the evidence in regard to the projected fertiliser works had been

given to the committee of the Bureau of Industry. The information could then be published.

Mr. K. Stevens said that it depended on the decision of the committee as to how the estimates should be framed, and it would bo a waste of time discussing the matter now.

On the motion of Mr. E. L. Whimp, it was decided to hold the matter over until the next meeting-.
