GALLING All Members

Kupe Club members rejoice ! The thousand mark has been well and truly passed, and, as our New Year Birthday issue goes to press, the Club membership stands at 1152 Club members have worked wonderfully; there has been no curb to their enthusiasm. When the call went out that 100 recruits were needed to reach our objective, they set to work with a will, and the result is the proud total announced above. Verily my warriors are loyal and true. With the strengthening of our ranks no task should be too great for us in the year now entered. The Kupe Club’ is a force for good. Warriors are proud to be numbered in its ranks and our Club is proud of its members, whose motto, “ Spread Happiness, ” prompts them never to miss, an opportunity of doing service. The Kupe Club aims at being active in doing good. Bon Langridge, of Kauri, topped the list in our membership campaign, enlisting 62 members. To this, energetic, warrior the special half-guinea prize was awarded. But all Club members who helped in this .effort deserve the highest praise. Some could send ns only one or two forms, whilst others enrolled greater numbers. The big thing is that all have tried and at Headcpiarters their efforts have been appreciated. In a practical way they have given their support to the Kupe Club, Other high scorers were Tsobcl Jones with 53. Myrtle Purves 38, Ethel Wiblin 38, and Hilda Webb 15. Mervyn Flood and Lena Yerkovich sent 10 forms each. In addition to the cash prize, certificates of merit are to be awarded in connection with this competition.
