OHAEAWAI STOCK SALE
NX FARMERS ’ BRISK COMPETITION
A fair yarding of cattle came forward at the stock sale conducted at Ohaeawai yesterday by the North Auckland Farmers’ Co-op. Ltd. Competition was fairly brisk throughout and practically everything changed hands at late rates.
Ox beef made £9 10/ to £lO 2/6; prime cows, £6 4/ to £6 10/; light, £5 5/ to £6; fat Jersey cows, £3 15/ to £5 5/; forward condition cows, £3 10/ to 4; fleshy Jersey cows, £2 to £2 15/; boner cows, £1 10/ to £2 2/; cows and calves, £4 10/ to £5 7/6; 3year Jersey steers, £6 10/ to £6 12/; 2-year S.H. steers, £5 15/ to £6. Fat ewes, 23/; light fat wethers, 24/6; weaher pigs, 12/ to 1 14/; store pi§s, 17/ to 26/; porkers, 28/ to 35/. -
