The disqualification of the German wrestler, George Bauman, for hurling the, referee at his opponent, gave George Walker the decision in the fifth round of a contest staged on Saturday night. At the time of the incident the falls were equal. Bauman, who was accompanied into the ring by an interpreter,, took the initiative. He lifted Walker in a bunny hug, deposited him on the mat and-took a fall with : a body press in the first round. Walker in the fourth round, held Bauman in a stranglehold until the referee separated them. Walker held out his hand for Bauman to shake, but, as the latter approached, Walker butted him in the abdomen and took a fall with a body press. Bauman hurled a chair at Walker during the interval, and when the last round opened, attacked vigorously, chasing Walker round the ring. The referee was obliged to separate them. When he did so, Bauman lifted him bodily and threw him at Walker. The long-awaited match between Earl McCready and George Walker for the British Empire title at last seems to be approaching. Both wrestlers have, professed themselves willing to take part. The main difficulty is that they wrestle for different promoting bodies, and the promotion of the match depends on the arrangements of terms satisfactory to both parties. Negotiations are now’ taking place. SYDNEY BOUTS. In a wrestling bout at the Sydney Stadium on Saturday evening, Mike Magill outpointed Jack Britton. At the Leichhardt Stadium a match was won by Joe Kopach Woods, who defeated Paul Boesch by 2 falls to 1.
