HORA HORA TROOP

There was another good attendance 1 at the weekly parade of the Hora Hora Scouts, held in the Den on Thursday night. Second class and badge work was done and good progress is being made by the boys. Service stars were presented to T.L. L, Aston and "Bit. D. ' Moselen. , The tyre race from Walton Street tk the Den caused a lot of amusement and keen competition. Everything is in readiness for the bonfire on Guy Fawkes’ Night and the Group birthday tea on November 7.

Scout’s Face: Practising The Test.

- Take this test seridusly, beginning by getting, used .to doing short distances in ‘ the required time. Get into the habit' • of doing ■ Scput’s Pace' % whenever you have to - go'even a short distance. The time you should take for a-quar-ter, a-half, three-quarters and one. mile is 3,6, 9 and 12 • minutes respectively. Do Scout’s Pace for three minutes and you should have " covered •a-quarter mile. Alternatively, if you do Scout’s ‘‘Pace for a-quarter mile you - should take three minutes for ‘ the distance.
