The passage occupied four days 36 hours 24 minutes' an average of 27.4 knots. The liner American Shipper, outward bound from Liverpool with 22 passengers, lost a rudder and is helpless off Wicklow. The Queen Mary’s sister-ship, No. whose keel is to be laid early next year, is already insured in Briffsh markets for £ 3,250,000 while under construction. This is the largest amount for which any merchantman has been insured in similar circumstances. Brokers are confident that the market will eventually exceed £3,500.000. The vessel, when completed, will be valued at £4,500,000.
