MATCH ENDS IN DRAW
The cricket match between England and a combined Australian team ended in a draw yesterday at Perth. When stumps were drawn on Friday the Englishmen had made 497 runs in their first innings, and the Combined Team 293 for one wicket. The latter yesterday carried their total to 436, and the visitors, in their second innings had scored 120 for four wickets when stumps were finally di’awn.
Badcock and Horrocks, the not-out Australian batsmen, compiled 167 and 140 respectively. Details of the scores are:— ENGLAND. First Innings 497 Second Innings.
