MOEREWA

The weekly card evening held under the auspices of the Moerewa School Committee, drew quite a large crowd on Thursday evening. As usual, supper was provided by the ladies, and an enjoyable evening was spent playing 500, the prizes being won by Mrs Crooks and Mr Bobbie Berghan, who handed it back to the committee for funds. The members of the Kawakawa branch of the W.D.F.U. were busy last week preparing for Saturday’s Paddy’s Market. Personal. Quite a number of friends, assembled to farewell Miss Dear, a popular resident, when she departed by express last week for her holidays.
