Bulolo (New Guinea), —Production of the four dredges in September (with August figures in parentheses): Cubic yards treated, 981,300 (978,000); gold, 11,792 (12,484) fine ounces; value in Australian currency, £103,197 (£109,235); per cubic yard, 25.2 d (26.8 d); working profit, £73,998 (£75,748).
New River (West Coast).—26 oz. for 9800 yards. Argo (West Coast).—42 oz. for 102 hours and 9000 yards. Golden Sands (West Coast).—4s oz. for 312 hours.
Mt. Lyell (Tasmania).—Report for three months ended September 30 (fiures for previous three months in parentheses): Treated by mill, 191,358 (167,334) tons; concentrates produced, 14,574 (12,411) tons; total ore smelted, 19.542 (13,933) tons; copper, 4428 (3043) tons; silver, 33,446 (22,842) oz; g01d,2341 (164 7) oz.
