The last meeting of the Geranium Club for the year was held at, the Arcadia, and it was a matter for gratification that so large an attendance was manifested. A very varied programme, in the hands of Misses N. Handley, V J. McMinn, N. and M. King and Messrs R. Baker and C. Boucher, consisted of novelty dances, vocal items and games, was enjoyed. The novelty dance prize was won by Mrs Frank Englehardt, and the Monte Carlo by Miss McMinn and L. Kingdon. Two solos were rendered by Joan McMinn and Mrs Les. Blomfield. A very amusing sketch, “A Cut to Leg,”' was presented by Messrs Kingdon and Bisset, Mrs Graham and Miss Neumann. A sketch, “Bay of Islands Broadcast,” rendered by Misses McMinn, N. and M. King and Mr Ray BaKer proved very hilarious. A pleasing duet was played by Captain Blomfield (violin) and R. L. Kingdon (piano), and a violin duet, accompanied by piano, was rendered by MesdameS' Fowler and Teixeira and Mr Blomfield. An exhibition dance, “The Caveman’s Wooing,” by Miss Joan McMinn and Nancy King, provoked amused applause. Dance music was supplied by three pianists present,. Mesdames Graham and Fowler and Mr Stace Blomfield and Mr Bernard Williams’ string band. A slang competition was won by Miss Jean McTavish, and the Material competition by Mrs H. Wright.
