MR JOHN GRAHAM The death occurred at the Whangarei Public Hospital yesterday, after a long' illness, of Mr John Graham, of 131 Kamo Road, and formerly of Union Street, Hikurangi. Mr Graham, who was in his 60th year, was born in Northumberland, and came to New Zealand in 1922, I following his occupation as a miner }at Hikurangi. About three years ago jhe came to Whangarei. He is survivjed by his wife, but there is no family. The funeral will be held at the Kauri cemetery tomorrow and a bus will leave Gager’s Top Shop, at Hikurangi, at 2 p.m. for friends wishing to attend. MR F. H, SMITH [Per Press Association. — Copyright .l TIMARU, This Day. The death has occurred of Mr Francis Henry Smith, of Albury, 30 miles from Timaru. Mr Smith was a member of the House of Representatives from 1911-1914. He was 68 years old. He was a sheep farmer, and was born in Tasmania and educated in Timaru. He contested the Timaru seat in 1905, and the Waitaki seat in 1908. As Reform's candidate, he was elected in 1911 and represented Waitaki for three years. He had served on the Timaru High School and the Timaru Harbour Boards.
