ANGLO-AMERICAN MATCH.

In the Anglo-American lawn tennis match which is being played under Davis Cup conditions at Eastbourne, J. D. Budge and B. Grant defeated GP. Hughes and C. R. D. Tuckey, 6—4, 6—2,10—8. The losers comprised Britain’s doubles pair for the challenge round against the winner of the Davis Cup interzone final, which commences at Wimbledon tomorrow. Heinrich Kleinschroth, manager of the German Davis Cup team,, told the Associated Press that although Henkel practised half-an-hour today, he has not completely recovered from his illness. It will not be decided whether he will play against Australia until a doctor visits him tomorrow morning.
