Miss Winifred Moore was appointed junior sister at the Maternity Annex, by the Whangarei Hospital Board today. A motion of sympathy with the j relatives of the late Mr Angus Finlayson, a member of the board at the time of his death, was carried by the Whangarei Hospital Board today. A j motion placing on record his valuable i services to the board was also carried. The chairman, Mr J. A. S. Mac Kay, referred to Mr Finlayson's valuable services, and Mr F. Elliott said he had j only recently been told of Mr Finlayson’s great assistance to the hospital during the war. He sent all his sons to the war; and, when asked for assistance in other ways, never refused. Many valuable beasts were given to the hospital towards the soldiers ward. Mr A. Clarke, appointed to take Mr Finlayson’s place on the board, was welcomed.
